-IT (information technology) is a term that encompasses all forms of technology used to create, store, exchange, and use information in its various forms.
-Any computer-based tool that people used to work with information and to support the information and information-processing needs of an organization.
Information technology architecture:
A map or plan of the information assets in an organization.
Integrates entire organization business needs for information, infrastructure and applications.
INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY
• ICT refers to technologies that provide access to information through telecommunications.
• ICT is similar to Information Technology (IT), but focuses primarily on communication technologies. This includes the Internet, wireless networks, cell phones, and other communication mediums.
ICT can be used to communicate:
• between individuals
• between individuals and organizations
•between a business and an external organization
